So I have been thinking about the traitor in the WH and believe this scum revealed his/her presence at this time to allow other countries to say they don't trust Bolton–that Bolton is not fully representing Trump. That Trump's admin is trust-wise-compromised. This may be why we're hearing that Assad has said he'd gas his people–as part of the setup.
