A staff Getty shooter would probably not get any additional revenue (other than perhaps a bonus for a Pulitzer or some merit based achievement.) If it was a freelancer, under a contract that allowed for shared ownership of copyright, you damn straight will have an argument.

A staff shooter will be doing work for hire, which is essentially a "yes" to your question. For a freelancer, it depends on the relationship and contract.

Incidentally, while I'm not a little skeptical about this AI thing...Bloomberg almost certainly had a shooter at SOTU. Looks like at the least, Andrew Harrer might have been there and shooting from close to that position.

Again, "roll" refers to a lot of different contexts. Could very well be that here it means "another photographer's roll." Seeing that position was likely occupied by other shooters before or after, I go back to my point of expanding the search to other wires, publications or shooters. Its a big ask, but logical in context.
