True, motherlode. Believer here, for decades. Exchanged info with countless in person and online.

Every time I've met a person or read an account of someone who claims to have met Jesus in the flesh, their stories come with a heresy (or more.)

So the storyline goes, "I am special personal dramatic, I engaged Jesus in the flesh" followed by the various forms of utter nonsense.

Not questioning that many such may have had encounters or visions or out of body or such.

Unlikely it was ever Jesus in the flesh.

Paul put out a good bit of advice on that kind of story for a quick check to keep in mind when hearing these kinds of things:

2 Corinthians 5:16

Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.

Where it gets a bit weirder is that technically, Christ Himself LIVES in/within the believer(s).

Galatians 2:20

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

And then you find out He doesn't like at least part of the occupation-abode:

Galatians 5:

17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

And from there "ye" see the nature of the relationship:

Colossians 3:3

For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

Tends to leave you "hanging" on a personally constructed cross, waiting for the inevitable finality, flesh wise.

Most of the post death sightings of Jesus come with some interesting markers. He's seen, but initially not seen for who He Is. (think road to Emmaus encounter as well as the below). If we understand some of the principles of Word allegory, we understand also why the non-recognition principle is also in play.

John 20:

11 But Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the sepulchre,

12 And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.

13 And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.

14 And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus.

15 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.

16 Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.

Gardener? Wonder who put that thought in her head? Kek

Apparently there is some huge difference in your eyes, that isn't there.

What is your pet heresy again? Oh, yeah, you're the Creator.

Look, I know it pisses off a lot of people when they hear scriptures that say they have evil present within them and that their sin is of the devil.

That much is a given. But if we're talkin Bible, that's where it goes on that side of the spectrum.

Maybe cough up if you're in the demi-urge-god created evil and did all the bad stuff in the O.T camp?

Don't feel too bad. I'm orficially a heretic in the eyes of the MSM-psuedo christianity for believing all people are saved.

Let's all have a come to Jesus heresy divulgence meeting!

You're progressively divulging an interesting list of stuff, Mr. Sigh.

Matthew 7:11

If ye then, being evil,

⇒ → ⊃

Most do actually HATE the logia-if then's of scripture.

One of the main principle's employed in scripture is that the (quite factual) evil within everyone is not cooperative or agreeable, even when it claims to be.

Hebrews 12:8

But IF ye be without chastisement, whereof >all< are partakers, THEN are ye bastards, and not sons.

Unpopular statements by Jesus, assuredly.

Drop the KJV?

I enjoy the KJV. It doesn't pull any punches like the more watered down versions:

1 John 3:6

Whosoever abideth in him >sinneth not:< >whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.<

Very clear lines above, two distinctions. Both applicable to every person.

1 John 3:6 New International Version (NIV)

6 No one who lives in him >keeps on sinning.< No one who >continues to sin< has either seen him or known him.

Openly and quite falsely presents the state of sinlessness is achievable by "not sinning."

Fortunately scriptures do not leave us the option of being "sinless."

And the claim of the Apostles was that we are and continue to be "sinners," period. It is on this basis that unmerited Grace and the need for Divine Mercy from God in Christ is presented. Very much contrary to your presentation of the "eventually self earned" state of Perfection through interminable fleshly reincarnations. NOT a presentation of scripture, but a produce of your own presently flawed and "self contrived" imaginations. Of course the scriptural presentation of such fantasies attributes these kinds of alt messages as 'demonic' in origin, so scripture doesn't blame and accuse you. It pins the tail on the other present donkey(s), the devils deceptions in mind.

John in the KJV in particular tightens the noose on this subject:

1 John 1:

8 If we say that we >have no sin,< we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

John doesn't leave us the "option" of claiming we "have no sin." When we do we are very much deceived and the truth is not in us.

Paul in the KJV sticks the knife in himself, hard enough to put any other sinners to shame by comparisons to his own sinning self:

1 Timothy 1:

15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save >sinners; of whom I am chief.<

I am, not was.

Live endless lifetimes in the reincarnations of human flesh. The consequences of being an sinner with evil present won't be eliminated, contrary to your hope in avoiding the reality of our present planting.

Scriptural Christianity presents instantaneous change to Perfection, from current states, weakness, dishonor, corruption in a natural failing on it's way to DEATH body, to the after market variety, :

1 Cor. 15:

42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is >sown in corruption<; it is raised in incorruption:

43 It is >sown in dishonour;< it is raised in glory: it is >sown in weakness;< it is raised in power:

44 It is >sown a natural body;< it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but >we shall all be changed,<

52 >In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump:< for the trumpet shall sound, and >the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.<

53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

Gods Life in Christ Is The Victor in these matters. Not you or I or anyone else living the fallacy recycle attempts, to endless try and fail.

As much as I love the movie Ground Hog Day, it's NOT GOSPEL.
