Jesus used plants which were common knowledge in Israel at the time in order to present his allegory. He used things the people already understood to help them understand the allegorical connection.

This highlights how the truth is hidden from us and is evidence of false information promoted by modern scholars. By not correcting it in the English translations, to something similar to what we have presented, they allow people, those who assume the English is good/close enough, to be misled on this information.

Much of this type of error, this faulty perspective, comes out of the Greek texts.

The Apostolic Bible Polyglot is a modern attempt to utilize the three main Septuagint texts as sources for translating, Vaticanus, Alexandrinus, and Sinaiticus.

While our presentation works well for this specific example, using the same method will not work in all cases. The subject of revising/updating the English is much more complex overall. The Hebrew also has some issues.

1.The Septuagint is a work to convert into a proper Greek text, one book out of Origin's Hexapala, which was a transliteration of the Jerusalem Temple Text using the Greek alphabet, probably the first attempt to preserve vowels.

1. The Septuagint is most likely, IMO, the work of Jerome before he had a complete understanding of Hebrew. To summarize the problem he may have faced, attempting to translate a Hebrew text written with Greek letters into Greek without a complete understanding of Hebrew. Being paid to render the work, upon completion he ran straight off to learn some Hebrew, then started a new project called the Latin Vulgate.
