I don't know this for sure but I kind of get the intuition that once enough of Gods children awake to what is going on, he steps in and takes his belt off and (if you follow the new testament Gospel and don't allow yourself to be confused by the absolute REVERSAL and trickery that happens in "Revelation") basically renews this place, we regain control and defeat evil.
