At 9 PM CST Sep 10, the actual max sustained ground winds in Florence are 78.6 mph.
Florence did not "rapidly intensify" or any of the other hocus pocus that's being blatted by parrots of the now corrupt NOAA and National Weather service, you do not measure hurricane intensity (for rating) anywhere other than the ground. If anyone says anything other than this, they changed the rules about how they are measured to fill an agenda.
And the highest winds are 103 mph at about 12, 000 feet, not 130 as is being claimed. The entire thing is being lied about.
Surprisingly, Helene, which was stronger today has weakened significantly. It is still bigger than Florence, but has no winds above 100 mph at any elevation and on the surface it is a tropical storm.
Once again, the Farmers Almanac has predicted a severe winter, which would logically be preceeded by a weak hurricane season. I know bad storms make juicy headlines, but I'm not buying it (yet).
