I agree. Yes, I don't see what is accomplished by ramping up our expectations only to have no action in public and then when we question, we are told that some obscure move in DC circles or Congress was a big boom that the public have no idea about. The blame always gets shifted to us and our expectations, or the public that doesn't wake up and isn't ready yet.
And that's the problem. Until humanity stops being treated like children and is allowed to have the full truth it will not grow up. Yes, a great number of people are afraid and would rather stay asleep than face the truth. Humanity will have to be forced to grow up into adulthood or it will self-destroy. Until we stop having just another new elite deciding what truths can or cannot be made public, this shitshow will continue for decades or more.
