For those who are working, paying taxes and such. They live the life of a citizen, perhaps extend a visa and deal with them one by one.

If the process of proving is as complicated as getting a permit, most won't go thru it.
I also hope that for any daca "person" (trying to be nice here) who GETS a "free pass" they MUST force the parents to go back that came here illegally- THEY are the lawbreaking point of entry…
And if the "KID" does not agree that the parents must go back, then he forfeits the status and goes back with his parents…
We already agreed no parent would be "Accepted" into amnesty program.
