There is a theory which suggests that the planes were drone replacements which could have been filled/armed with explosives. I don't know anything about detonations and explosives and whether the available audio and video footage can be used to refute or verify this theory. Anybody who is in the business of "blowing stuff up" might want to share his/her opinions?!
I think they are worried about grand juries. Anything they say on social media can be used against them, I believe. That's at least how I read Mitchell's recent tweets.
That is an ominous thought, but unfortunately a very good point. Maybe they still have the capacity to pull of something big. Dave Janda mentioned that he's afraid of an massive EMP attack.
On the other hand, according to Q, their comms and ability to read and sift through data have bee severed and NSA now seems to have a monopoly in that regard (if I correctly understood Q's recent drops).
Notice the usage of the word "booms".
