People forget that the PATRIOT ACT was already written, just waiting in the wings. Common people have zero idea how long it takes to write a bill, and the PATRIOT ACT was enormous. It wasn't whipped up in several days - it was something that had been worked on all year prior to 9/11.

There are others, Israeli, who dressed up their kids like the burning twin towers for Purim. Why the fuck would anyone do that? WTF would make someone think that was appropriate or funny in any way?!?
