You can get out pen and paper, and write down the names of these authors and books from times past. If you can afford it, you can buy a lot of these on websites likes eBay (not for long) or in many cases find scanned PDF copies of them. You may have to go to torrent sites and look through collections as google is trying to hide a lot of it.

I've read several translations of the bible, including the apocrypha in the dhoey rheims, and the apocrypha in the king james. I have bible software and have gone through a shitload of the early church fathers writings.
I used to be a gnostic and was obsessed with occult stuff. I used to wake up and read the Nag Hammadi with my coffee every day for over a year. I've gone through all of it. Archons and all.

I do not accept 100% of the bible at all. Revelation for example, was not written by the apostle john. It was added in (like you said) by a corrupted vatican. I reject a lot of the old testament as having been altered to make satans activity look like Gods. But again, I am not a gnostic.
I prefer the 4 books of the Gospel, the red-letters specifically. This is about as close as you're going to be able to get to the truth in the english language.

I said that my preference is the 4 books of the new testament, the red letters specifically. I've never entirely thrown out books like enoch. But I do toss most of the nag hamaddi into the trash after having researched it for a long time. You want to inhale that stuff, then by all means enjoy your recent archaeological findings.
The texts of the textus receptus are comprised of manuscripts found all over- You could quite easily make an argument that these were (like the internet is) kind of outside the churchs full control.
