Daniel "Chappie" James, Jr, who was the inspiration for Lou Gossett's character in Iron Eagle was born on February 11. He was also the first black to reach the rank of four-star general in the US Air Force.
The country in Iron Eagle is not mentioned. The plot is that an American pilot has been captured and is held in a middle eastern "pariah" nation. His son and "Chappy" steal two fighters to rescue him.
Part of the movie requires them to hack into the air force to steal the jets.
Lastly, an iron eagle in the military is someone who has attained the rank of Colonel but who will never become a general. Maybe Q is using this to indicate someone who has gone as high up in his (her) career as that person will ever go. HRC? CS? Biden? Who else is "career limited" as I have heard it called?
