I think the solar observatories have detected an anomaly on the sun, and this weather is a symptom of what has taken place at the sun. Space based observing tools usually go off-line when something inconvenient is being picked up by them, and the space based tools going offline in concert with the earth based lockdown in NM is highly eh… coincidental. yeah…

If you pay attention to the solar wind speed feeds periodically, you will see a change in the weather patterns on the planet's surface, as the solar winds change.
With the weather patterns as they have been, the Sun has to have been giving the earth a LOT of plasma energy. it has to go somewhere.
So sure, maybe they turned everything off to not burn out the sensors, blah blah blah.. but the lockdown smells funny.
