We know who people named as suspects in Skripal case are, they are civilians โ€“ Putin

โ€œIt seems very strange that these people have absolutely left what seems to be a very reckless and clear trail of evidence, which almost seems to be designed, or at least would almost inevitably lead to, the conclusions that the police and the authorities have come to today, in other words that Russia were to blame,โ€ Charles Shoebridge, a security expert and former British military officer, told RT.

Skripal case only benefits those who wish to slap more sanctions on Russia โ€“ envoy to OPCW

Despite what the British side says, Russia didnโ€™t have any plausible motive to poison former double agent Sergei Skripal, said Aleksandr Shulgin, Russiaโ€™s representative in the chemical weapons watchdog OPCW. He said the only side benefiting from the scandal is โ€œthose, who want to discredit the Russian leadership, hang red flags around our nation and chase it into a corner, impose new sanctions.โ€ He reiterated that the poison used in the attack is not uniquely Russian, contrary to British reasoning in the case, with many nations, including Britain, having researched it in the past. Shulgin was speaking after giving a briefing on the case at the OPCW HQ in The Hague.
