Is this one? 22nd April 2017, CNN with the headline "Sources: Russia tried to use Trump advisers to infiltrate campaign" matches the timeline.

It's mostly vague assertions but there seems to be an omission.
"The bureau also knew about Page from its 2013 investigation into a Russian spy ring in New York. One of the spies was taped saying he tried to recruit Page, and Page admitted meeting him. But Page says he didn't share anything sensitive and didn't know he was talking to a spy. "
What the article doesn't say is that Carter Page was meeting these people on behalf of the FBI, going as far as handing the Russians a binder that had a listening device in it.
