>"(NON_NSA TECH TODAY CANNOT READ/FILTER)"
>*THIS is why this board was chosen. Big tech can't filter memes. Who knew? I didn't.
Not exactly. 8ch was chosen because CM isn't comped, unlike half and reddit.
What Q means by "cannot read/filter" is related to social media platforms. There's actually 2 things going on:
-
They cannot read the words on a meme, therefore cannot insta-shadowban based on the content in real time.
-
BUT! They CAN (after human interpretation) filter/block specific images/videos (think MD5 file hashes). We've seen that happening in the last few days.
How do we work around? Make a change to the meme(s) before posting on social media. ANY change to the file (except the name) will create a different MD5 hash and require human interpretation before addition to the global filters.
It's a game of whack a mole, but there's more of US than there are of THEM.
