EarthquakeAnon here, responding to the anon from Timpson, TX who asked about an earthquake in his area a couple breads back… It looks like it's centered along railroad track just outside Timpson, however that doesn't necessarily mean a train caused a 2.5 earthquake. It's residual time indicates drilling but I don't know if there are any oil wells in the area. It also SOUNDS like drilling, go to the waveform at http://ds.iris.edu/ds/nodes/dmc/tools/event/10947196 and listen to the shake. It sounds mechanical (bizarre), more like drilling, but it must be a pretty big drill to cause a 2.5 in that part of Texas. I would also go to the town hall and find out if there were any tunnels built under the city (abandoned/or not) and if there are any defunct oil wells around.
