What most people don't realize is that, at sea level, there is a dramatic difference between the size of the Antarctic ice and the actual continental bedrock, as shown. This is why I was always skeptical about the plan to melt the ice with nuclear power because I think a large portion of the ice weight is already factored into ocean levels.
