Sicario - Day of the Soldado

Around the 1hr 11min 46-48 second mark the words are "…it changes the fucking narrative."

This is about the 4th or 5th time (maybe more) that I have heard this term being used. In the last few months I've heard it in other films (can't remember which ones) and TV shows (again, can't remember which, but I remember my reaction to the term). Why, all of a sudden, is this being pushed? These words were never used prior to even a couple of years ago. C_A got their mits into the media again????
