Big Pharma can get paid curing, but inducing and containing is much more lucrative.

Example:

Sick Patient comes in.

Diagnosed with [insert illness here]

Pay for visit.

Pay for prescription.

Prescription causes side effect.

Pay for another visit.

Treat side effect with additional drug.

Same results. Pay for another visit.

Eliminate first two prescriptions.

Add another.

Treats symptoms, doesn't eliminate problem.

Hypothetical sickness continues to the point of transplant needed.

How many visits paid until this point?

Transplant suggested.

More visits and medicines while waiting for donor.

"Accidental" prison death results in a donor match.

Imagine big pharma makes $20 Million throughout course of transplant surgery/CONTINUING care.

Now imagine the transplant recipient only got one organ per doctor's instruction and another patient gets the other organ. Money DOUBLED.

How about that "accidental" prison death?

Who made money there?
