I took a drive to Sunspot. The drive to Sunspot is open but once you get there the entrance is closed with a strip of yellow caution tape and a simple stop sign blocking the road. There is no military or gov presence that we could see. On a side note, all the overlooks looking out across white sands missile range are open. So that might rule out that theory. No one local knows anything.
