An uncle of mine was parachuted into Arnhem with the Red Berets - Parachute Regiment. He lost every friend that he joined up alongside at Arnhem and it never left him.
We got a call one night around the 40th commemoration of Arnhem that he had taken his life. I often wonder what tortured him so much that suicide was his only way out of his pain.
