Govt subsidizes farmers and certain crops. I come from a family of farmers in the midwest, but not elite farm owners. Do you have any idea how hard it's been for a decade for college graduates to find jobs that match the work and money they invested in their education? Unless you're in another govt subsidized field like healthcare, of course, or certain other variables like being a minority, jewish, etc.

Many farms are corporate owned and operated by shell companies. I think much of these farm benefits are going right into the pockets of the likes of Goldman Sachs. Plus farmers like to sell water rights to Nestle, stuff like that. But I guess an elite farmer would be someone who owns a 50- couple hundred acres with a 6 bedroom house on it, employs people, makes a profit, and so forth. I get that farmers don't want to lose their farms, but I haven't seen much concern for the middle class, which was my point. The tax cuts benefit the wealthy and poor. I guess Trump understands that the middle class will vote for Trump because he represents our values regardless of how our economic situation improves.
