My vote for the Solar Observatory raid and Post Office closure is that the FBI is looking for stolen hardware and/or other evidence of Electronic Counter Measures equipment compromised at White Sands. All military craft is equipped (presumably including AF1) . There are proprietary jamming techniques for missile evasion that may also be compromised.
