People are still held accountable for accidents/negligence, so I'm not reading this as foul play being involved necessarily.
I didn't get that understanding from the pipefitter post. I think the idea was it was either a hacker or a contractor trying to save money and not properly pressure testing the lines. That the line testing method mistakes would actually be intentional, and not mistakes, is unlikely because it would be difficult to get the proper pressure in the house needed for ignition/explosion. So either a contractor fucked up and the gas just happened to be at the right pressure to ignite, or a hacker increased the pressure in the lines to the needed ignition pressure.
Yeah, but it doesn't mean it was intentional. Negligent maybe, but not that the fires were intentional.
*unless it was a hacker, which would mean the fires were intentional. That;s what I got from the post. Not sure if any of it is true though.
finding unbiased, intelligent jurors will be a problem
There weren't any casualties at Sandy Hook, and that was black hat. The news has reported dead and injured, although I didn't hear it on the scanner, but it could be fake news. I heard sirens a few times on the scanner.
