I can 100% confirm, police scanner on multiple occasions mentioning holes in the pipes. They are meeting with techs from the gas company (as of 30mins ago). Repeat, police were reporting holes in the pipes.

Anon, I’m not sure. All I can say is what I heard on the scanner which was:

-Lots of calls to check buildings

-PD+FD reporting “strong odor” “smells of gas” at specific locations

-FD+PD manually turning of gas at specific locations and shutting down power to neighborhoods

-At least a couple ((tips)) that there were buildings on fire and them a ton of resources only to find out it was dumpsters with a ton of smoke coming out. and then cancelling the help.

-Them attempting to meet with gas company techs

-reported several holes in gas pipes

I’m not a gas fav but consider this. The pressure relief is just outside the house to release extra pressure. But if there was a hole BEFORE the release and then pressure was increased it would come out quickly and if something was set to ignite (when gas company was installing,

Manual incendiaries, DEW, or other) than it would prob blast the place.

I think only two scenarios are intentional bad actors (most likely, esp with the media blackout on it, that should tell you all you need to know). Or error by gas company installing, less likely. Obv accidental or coincidental is not a fucking option.
