For all their problems with government debt, the Japanese are not shy about infrastructure spending.
Hard to appreciate until you see it in person. Even centuries old waterways are impressive.
At some point, you might begin to understand that your "friend" is really your enemy. Or he will begin to think of you in that way.
Hopefully, when information begins to flow, a lot of people will understand better. You aren't ventfagging, most here have been in the same situation. More than a few have lost friends/family over it. Good luck, anon.
