Digging about the history of Sunspot Solar Observatory…

And reading on Wikipedia about the Richard B. Dunn Solar Telescope…. wondering if anybody else noted that per the Wikipedia entry regarding the building it is housed in:

“More than half the entire building is underground – the tower extends 136 feet above ground and 220 feet below ground.”

 

220 below the ground in New Mexico. NOTHING TO SEE HERE (because it’s sub-terrainean)
