Feinstein released the 8 hours of testimony from Glenn Simpson BEFORE the committee was finished getting other witness testimony. This means – the witnesses to come can check their stories against it.

In Simpsons testimony, his lawyer Lovey (?) states that Simpson cannot answer

because someone had already been killed because of the release of the dossier
