I wouldn’t be surprised if Big Pharma has a hand in the continuation of the war in Afghanistan. Taliban, the HiG, etc keep the supply chain of poppies flowing, Big Pharma gets cheap stable opioid source, flood Western markets and then get you legally hooked on painkillers. Then when the docs cut you off, you turn to the street for cheap heroin. I reckon they have a hidden hand in the illegal narcotics market as well, doing business with the cartels.
