The concept of projection to me is distilled whenever you see a democrat pick up a gun at a shooting range for the first time.
The first thought that occurs to them is that they could murder everyone around them if they wanted, the second thought is that they should not be anywhere near such power, their third thought is that everyone else must feel this way and therefor no one should have guns.
