Valid point too. I don't know very much about telescopes. But i know that you need two different types of telescopes for interstellar observation and planetary observation. Those interstellar telescopes don't work well for planetary use observation. Maybe some astroanon can elaborate further. Don't get me wrong. It's just spooky that a few hours before the sunspot observatory was taken down, other (open) sources of solar images went down.

Thats why i am not buying the "chinese spying".
