Sept. 15: A United Launch Alliance Delta 2 rocket will launch NASA's ICESat-2 satellite to measure ice sheet elevation and ice sheet thickness changes linked to climate change, along with measurements of Earth's vegetation biomass. It will lift off from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California during a 40-minute launch window that opens at 8:46 a.m. EDT (5:46 a.m. PDT; 1246 GMT). NASA TV will provide live coverage of the launch starting at 8:10 a.m. EDT (1210 GMT). [Watch Live]
