How do so many movies play out almost as a dress-rehersal of things that are happening now, in real time?

As for the time slip thing - am I the only one that increasingly, feels … 'tenuous' - like things are literally balanced on a single thread and … I don't really know how to explain it. The words won't come to describe the disconnected feelings I have been having more and more lately. Like things are still very much 50/50 and the end still hangs in the balance, to be potentially tipped one way or the other from one wrong breath.
