Voat is fine. Let me explain why newbies aren't accumulating points on v/theawakening.

Voat a sitewide rule where new accounts must receive 10 comment upvotes/CCP before being able to submit new things, and 100 upvotes/CCP before being able to downvote.

They also have a policy where you can override the submission/downvote rule for new accounts on a per-board basis. However, users accumulate no CCP when participating in boards that have changed these default rules. Hence a bunch of "upvote me!" threads on v/theawakening that lead to no CPP.

Trust me, Voat is fine for now. Their moderation logs are public so fuckery can be detected. I think the one thing we have to watch out for is compromised r/GA mods moving over to v/theawakening.

I will be deleting my Reddit and spending more time on Voat, it's really not so bad once you start using it.
