>/Wahhabism
I'll give you the Reader's Digest. The guy who started Wahhabism was an Arab British paid asset, being used during the dismantling of the Ottoman Empire, which itself was a Tribe (who were the empire's "advisors") takedown as they moved on to their next project, but they parked a leave-behind called the Young Turks (not real Turks, Tribe). But I digress.
This paid-by-the-Brits Wahhabi-religion-inventor-guy was trying to mess with the Islamic faith, one more of that fuck with a country's stability a million different ways. He was inventing all kinds of crazy-shit rationals for why the religion should be changed to a miserable lockdown of oppression, but the head honchos kept voting him down. Then his crew hooked up with another group when things finally were really destabilized, which group was given weapons by the Brits to take over. That armed group was the Saud family that laid claim to certain parts, only they weren't really, they killed the real Sauds and took their place, name and all. Sound like something somebody would do that you are familiar with?
So we got these two paid asset groups, one (fake-at-the-top) religious fanatics, the other paramilitary thugs, both financed to take over and they planted their flag on that vast area the one family named after themselves, Saudi Arabia. Wait, I left one part out, the Sauds are actually Jewish, they're cryptos.
So the Middle East has been intentionally destablized, with wars directly or by proxy, as well as other means, to create a population the greater number of which is poor, ignorant, and very angry at what the West has done to them, and are then enticed into a "Come to Wahhabism" moment because the religion is big on social services and education enough to read the Koran and harken to their interpretation. So the Saudis have been using their vast wealth and religious infrastructure to spread this vile fake-from-the-getgo, intentionally-designed-to-make-problems Wahhabism–get this–AROUND THE WORLD.
I'm including a two-part article for more backstory. Also, keep in mind those fake Young Turks when you think of Turkey today.
