Democrats Demand Suspension Of Kavanaugh Confirmation Until "Serious And Credible Allegations" Investigated

Congressional Democrats have demanded a halt to Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation hearings until "at a very minimum, these serious and credible allegations are thoroughly investigated," despite the fact that his accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, "acknowledged that she could not recall key details of the alleged incident, including exactly when and where it occurred," according to the Daily Beast.

Kavanaugh's classmate who was accused of witnessing the alleged sexual assault, Mark Judge, categorically denied it in a letter and comments to the Weekly Standard.

"It's just absolutely nuts. I never saw Brett act that way," Judge told TWS.

Moreover, 65 women "of bipartisan backgrounds" who knew Kavanaugh in the 80's signed a joint letter attesting to the judge's good character, after a woman who has known Kavanaugh since high school rounded up signatures.

Nonetheless, according to Axios, Democratic Senators Schumer, Feinstein and Harris have all called for an investigation:

Sen. Chuck Schumer: "Senator Grassley must postpone the vote until, at a very minimum, these serious and credible allegations are thoroughly investigated."

Sen. Dianne Feinstein: "I support Mrs. Ford's decision to share her story, and now that she has, it is in the hands of the FBI to conduct an investigation. This should happen before the Senate moves forward on this nominee."

Sen. Kamala Harris: "Christine Blasey Ford courageously stepped forward to tell her story — it is a credible and serious allegation. The Senate has a constitutional responsibility to scrutinize SCOTUS nominees. A vote on Kavanaugh’s nomination must be delayed until there is a thorough investigation." -Axios

Senate Judiciary Republicans hit back, saying: "It’s disturbing that these uncorroborated allegations from more than 35 years ago, during high school, would surface on the eve of a committee vote after Democrats sat on them since July. If Ranking Member Feinstein and other Committee Democrats took this claim seriously, they should have brought it to the full Committee’s attention much earlier."

Echoes of Clarence Thomas

The Kavanaugh accusation echoes that of Conservative Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, who was accused in 1991 of sexually harassing attorney Anita Hill after an interview Hill gave to the FBI leaked to the press.

Thomas's Senate confirmation hearings had been initially completed, however they were reopened to the public, with Hill testifying publicly in the matter.

TRUMP FIRES WARNING SHOT AT DEEP STATE: Devin Nunes to Release Depositions from 70 Witnesses Before Election (VIDEO)

Rep. Devin Nunes: We believe those depositions need to be published before the November election: “I think full transparency is in order here.”

House Intel Chairman Devin Nunes joined Maria Bartiromo on Sunday morning to discuss the ongoing investigation into the Obama administration interference in the 2016 elections.

Rep. Devin Nunes: Maria, the American people are now beginning to see, the walls are beginning to close in on the corrupt officials from the Department of Justice and the FBI. Many of them have been fired. Many of them are on leave. Many of them have been demoted. But you are slowly starting to see this collapse in on them even though the mainstream media is not covering this because they seem so focused on drinking the Russian Kool-aid… So, we believe that the depositions we took, from about 70 people, those need to be published and they need to be published before the election, published I mean, they need to be put out for the American people to review, so they can see all the work that we did, and they need to see all the people we interviewed and those answers to those questions. I think full transparency is in order here. So I expect to make those available from our committee to the American public in the next few weeks.

Maria Bartiromo: So let me just go back here. This is breaking news right now. You are going to declassify your depositions of 70 individuals related to Trump Russia collusion narrative.

Devin Nunes: Just for the sake of full transparency because they’re is so much out there information or disinformation on this Russia fiasco that we need this information out before the election.

Russian Envoy Slams Reports Alleging Espionage in Switzerland as 'Absurd'

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - The accusations alleging Russia's spying activities on the territory of Switzerland are groundless and seem to be politically motivated, Russia's envoy to the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG) Gennady Gatilov said on Sunday, commenting on the relevant media reports.

"There are indeed many employees at the Russian Permanent Mission to the UN Office in Geneva, which reflects the priority given to cooperation with the United Nations and its specialized agencies by Russia… We consider such accusations absurd and clearly politically motivated," Gatilov said as quoted in a statement released on the official website of the Russian Permanent Mission to the UNOG.

On Sunday, the Swiss Tages-Anzeiger newspaper released an article, in which it claimed that every fourth Russian diplomat in Switzerland was an intelligence agent. The news outlet also stated that Russia's Permanent Mission to the UNOG was traditionally spying most without providing, at the same time, any evidence proving the allegations.

The Russian Embassy in Switzerland has condemned Tages-Anzeiger for the release of the article, which, according to the Russian diplomatic mission, was "characterized by the absence of any facts."

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, in turn, stressed that Russia would be ready to comment on the reports as soon as it received facts supporting the claims.

NARCISSISM

Obama Refers to Himself Seventy-Nine Times in Stuttering Campaign Speech

During last Thursday’s rally, Barack Obama talked about himself over seventy times, even though he was supposed to be talking about the candidates he was campaigning for.

During the Cleveland rally for Rich Cordray and Betty Sutton, Obama talked about himself repeatedly, even though the candidates were sitting right behind him.

In his typical manner without having a TelePrompter ready available, he stuttered as he attempted to attack President Trump and the success of recent Republican initiatives.

“I see you,” Obama pointed into the audience.

“Let, let, let, let, let me just say these, these are friends of mine,” Obama said, stuttering his words, “I admit I am biased.”

Obama called Cordray and Sutton a “friend of mine.”

Speaking of Cordray, “he had my back even when some of you couldn’t pronounce my name,” said Obama.

“I have worked with them,” he said, focusing on himself.

Obama repeatedly attempted to regale the audience with stories about when he was the President. He can’t seem to let that go.

Upon appearing to be “forced” to talk about the candidates he was campaigning for, Obama said, “But I have a broader message…”

“I always miss having at least one heckler up in here,” Obama told the audience.

“I can never really hear what they’re saying, but I appreciate the exercise of free speech,” he said.

At one point, Obama went on a stuttering rant, saying, “We, we, we, we, we, we, we, we, we spend…”

“I know that sometimes, when I was president, even when I was a candidate, folks would say, ‘Barack, you’re talking too long.’

‘You’re like too professorial, you’re explaining stuff too much,'” Obama said.

“I know, but sometimes things are complicated, and I didn’t, I, I, I, and I was confident…” he said.

Obama finally said, “And that’s why I’m here. Not just because I love Ohio, although I do. And not just because I love Cleveland,” he said.

“I want to talk a little bit about Rich just for a second.”

I believe he meant that literally, as he shifted back to talking about himself.

“I, I, I can’t, I can’t even beat Sasha at Jeopardy,” he said, getting off topic.

Approximately thirty minutes in, Obama said, “Now listen, I know it’s hot so I gotta wrap up.”

But…

“But here’s something I said last week that I want to repeat,” he said, before saying the same thing again.

“I said this last week; I want to repeat it,” he said.

In total, Obama talked about himself 79 times during the 40-minute speech. He said “I” 66 times, “Me” 5 times, “My” 5 times, and “Mine” 3 times.

Obama gave two speeches a week ago where he mentioned himself a total of 168 times — 63 times in California and 102 times in Illinois.

When not talking about himself, he spent the remaining time belittling President Trump. This is unprecedented and doesn’t appear to be how he felt before Trump came in and started dismantling Obama’s horrible policies.
