Cygnus (if i have the right one, i was thinking the linux-related cygnus but apparently not) was a company that never made a profit in 17 years, sold some of their assets to Animas Corp. when they went out of business (2002-2004). Animas is now a Johnson&Johnson company.

Cygnus made a glucose-test-watch that didn't catch on. They also made products for "hormone therapy" (for transgendering, perhaps?)
