Christine Blasey's parents were the defendants in a foreclosure case in MD in 1996. Brett Kavanaugh's mother (Martha G. Kavanaugh) was the ruling Judge in their plea for dismissal. According to these court documents she apparently decided in their favor, so this probably isn't a case of getting even with him for something his mother did.

But, it shows that there was more to the connection between these two families (Kavanaugh & Blasey) than a simple chance meeting at a party.
