Were I a Senator, what would worry me about Kavanaugh's accuser, is that her specialism appears to be the psychology of trauma, and as such, she is ideally placed to construct a convincing fictitious narrative. Means, motive, and opportunity for a false accusation are all there.
The focus needs to be on corroboration, not her personal testimony.
Who did she go to the party with?
How did she get there?
Why did she go into a bedroom alone with two boys?
Did she go in of her own free will?
If she did; why did she? If she didn't, who at the party saw her being forced into a bedroom against her will?
What colour was the bed?
What colour were the bedroom walls?
How did the boys turn up the music, which at parties, is never in the bedroom? (Allegedly to drown he screams).
How did it come about that a lie detector test was done in 2012; why was it done and who did it?
The same standards need to be applied as would be applied in a Court hearing regarding the accusation.
Don't lose site of the fact that a Judge should never be disqualified on the grounds that he made a pass at a girl when he was a teenager.
