James O'Keefe and his undercover investigators have once again exposed extreme left-wing activists pursuing a progressive agenda within a position of power - this time infiltrating the State Department.

O'Keefe's team has previously released undercover videos revealing radical leftists at Twitter bragging about "shadow banning" conservatives, Democrat operatives paid by the Clinton campaign engaging in voter fraud, CNN employees admitting that the Trump-Russia story was a "fake news" ratings bonanza, and the "culture of anti-Trump bias" at the New York Times.

In their latest installment, Veritas met Stuart Karaffa - a State Department employee who is also a ranking member of the Metro DC Democratic Socialists of America who is "engaged in radical socialist political activity on the taxpayer's dime," while actively advocating for "resistance to official government policies," according to Project Veritas.

Mr. Karaffa’s loyalties seem to be with DSA, not with his employer.

Karaffa told an undercover Project Veritas journalist that he performs DSA activism while at work for the State Department. He explained that he drafts DSA communications while on the job at State Department: -Project Veritas

But as soon as 5:31 hits, got my like draft messages ready to send out," says Karaffa, who doesn't believe he'll get caught for pursuing his own agenda within the Department of State.

"Maybe someday I’ll go to board of elections jail, probably not," he said, adding: "I have nothing to lose. It’s impossible to fire federal employees." Karaffa says "nobody knows" about his activism - and that it's easy to circumvent State Department ethics disclosures because "… somebody just rubber stamps [the form] and it goes forward… I don’t know if [the ethics officer is] all there. He’s so checked out…"

Congress Members Demand Trump Seek Approval Before Military Action In Syria

A group of over 40 Congress members have sent President Trump a bipartisan letter reminding him that the US Constitution requires that the president seek Congressional approval before taking military action in Syria or elsewhere. Congressman Justin Amash (R-Mich.) announced via Twitter on Monday that the letter had been sent to the White House.

Ironically Rep. Amash made the announcement just as Monday's evening's massive Israeli strike on Syria was underway, which resulted in a downed Russian surveillance plane carrying 14 troops amidst the confusion of missiles flying over the Mediterranean as it was hit by Syrian defense attempting to stave off the attack by Israel.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) said on the Hugh Hewitt Show Tuesday morning that Dr. Christine Blasey Ford has not confirmed her appearance at next Monday’s hearing and that she has ignored repeated efforts by Grassley’s staff to make contact with her “in the last 36 hours.” Grassley raised the possibility of canceling the hearing.

Ford came forward over the weekend to confirm a letter she wrote last summer to Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), the ranking member on the committee, accusing–without evidence or corroboration–Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assaulting her at a drunken high school party

And we wouldn’t be having this hearing if it wasn’t for the fact that Dr. Ford told the Washington Post and other people publicly that she wanted to testify. And we also have Judge Kavanaugh. Even before we requested him to testify, he said he was willing to testify. As of Sunday night, I had that message. So we still haven’t heard from Dr. Ford. So do they want to have the hearing or not? We’re delaying the vote, strictly, to get all the facts out on the table.

HH: If Dr. Ford declines to attend, will Judge Kavanaugh appear anyway?

CG: First of all, we’ve got to look at why we’re having the hearing. We’re having the hearing because the accusations, accusations that legitimately ought to be looked into about a candidate for the Supreme Court. And it was raised questions what would be the purpose of the hearing if Dr. Ford doesn’t want to respond?

Ford, the reluctant witness, sent letters to her congresswoman and senator in the summer, hired a Democrat lawyer and took a secret polygraph in August, but maintained a facade of not wanting to go public while doing everything to get ready to go public, including reportedly scrubbing her social media accounts.

Will Grassley call her bluff and reschedule the committee vote on Kavanaugh for this Thursday, as was originally planned, if Ford refuses to testify or cooperate with the committee?

McCabe and Strzok Caught Destroying Evidence During Final Days at FBI; “Huber is Running a Grand Jury”

During their final days of access to FBI files and computers Andrew McCabe and Peter Strzok — before losing their jobs — each allegedly tried to destroy evidence and documents, per well-placed FBI and DOJ sources.

But they were nabbed by a sting operation.

Two of the supposed brightest minds who served the FBI — and led the country’s Intel apparatus — each separately set out to allegedly destroy incriminating evidence before their departures from the Bureau. And neither one had any clue they were being watched.

But FBI Director Christopher Wray had suspected as much and — working with personnel from the Inspector General’s office — set up a sting-like operation to prevent against evidence destruction, both documents and electronic, two FBI sources confirm.

Though at differing times, McCabe and Strzok were under 24-hour surveillance both at the office and outside FBI HQ in Washington D.C. And any documents, files, and databases that were deleted or manipulated by McCabe and Strzok were being recorded and documented by federal agents. The original records were restored after the duo vacated the FBI.

“They had no clue they were being watched,” one FBI source said.

One insider said “there were similar patterns” in what McCabe and Strzok accessed at the FBI prior to their departures.

Were federal agents and the Inspector General running wiretaps on McCabe’s and Strzok’s phones while they were employed at FBI?

“It’s a wise deduction,” one FBI source said.

McCabe was fired by Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Strzok was forced to resign after a brutal public hearing on Capitol Hill. Both lingered at the FBI for much longer than they should have but there was little rush to expedite their departures while the sting operations were up and running. And the targets were playing along.

Now what?

Federal sources said a grand jury has been convened involving McCabe and Strzok — and other former FBI — and the evidence gathered by federal officials during their final weeks at the FBI will be front and center but the grand jury will also be examining other violations during their official tenures at FBI.

“Huber is running a grand jury from what I hear,” a DOJ source confirmed, calling the entire process ‘Hush” given the high-profile FBI-linked players involved. “There is so much to tackle but from what I know, the grand jury is now moving into the witness phase.”

Utah US attorney John Huber was selected by Sessions to examine Republican claims of FBI misconduct and the FBI’s failure to examine Hillary Clinton’s ties to a Russian nuclear agency.

Sessions quietly tapped Huber in 2017 to work with the Justice Department’s inspector general. It appears the Justice Department is taking FBI corruption probes to the next level.

Time will tell.

Putin on Israel’s role in Il-20 downing: ‘Looks accidental, like chain of tragic circumstances’

“When people are dying – especially under such circumstances – it is always a tragedy,” President Putin said during a joint press conference with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban in Moscow on Tuesday.

Responding to a reporter’s question as to whether the incident in Latakia could be compared to the downing of the Russian Su-24 by Turkey in 2015, Putin said the two situations were “different.”

Ankara “deliberately downed” the Russian jet, he explained, while the Il-20 incident “looks like a chain of tragic circumstances, because the Israeli plane didn’t shoot down our jet.”

The incident has heated up political tensions, with the Russian military placing the blame for the incident on Tel Aviv. It said that the Israeli raid on Syria late on Monday had triggered a chain of events that led to the Il-20 being shot down by a Syrian S-200 surface-to-air missile. The downing jeopardized the reasonably good diplomatic relations enjoyed by Russia and Israel, casting doubt on whether these could be maintained.

Russia will investigate the incident, Putin said, adding that Moscow will boost security of Russian troops in Syria following the incident. He said that these will be “the steps that everyone will notice.”

Following Putin’s remarks, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said that he had notified his Israeli counterpart Avigdor Lieberman that Moscow “won’t leave Israeli actions unanswered.” He said the Russian jet had been downed by Syrian defense systems following their response to an attack by Israeli planes.

On Tuesday evening, Putin spoke to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu by phone. He urged Israel to avoid such incidents in the future and said that Tel Aviv’s military endeavors in Syria violate the country’s sovereignty.

Israeli army blames Damascus for Russia’s Il-20 downing, mourns death of crew – statement

According to the ministry, on Monday evening four Israeli F-16 fighter jets attacked targets in Latakia after approaching from the Mediterranean. The Israeli warplanes approached at a low altitude and “created a dangerous situation for other aircraft and vessels in the region,” it said. The Il-20 plane was in the area during the Israeli operation.

“The Israeli pilots used the Russian plane as cover and set it up to be targeted by the Syrian air defense forces. As a consequence, the Il-20, which has radar cross-section much larger than the F-16, was shot down by an S-200 system missile,” the statement said, adding that the crew died as a result.

China retaliates with tariffs on another $60 billion in US imports

The Chinese government has announced that it will be fulfilling its promise to retaliate against further U.S. tariffs. Chinese tariffs on $60 billion worth of U.S. products are scheduled to go into effect next week.

Here’s what you need to know

The new tariffs imposed by China, which range from 5 to 10 percent, will go into effect Sept. 24. These tariffs will target 5,207 U.S. products totaling $60 billion. Affected imports will include farm products, chemicals, and machinery.

The new tariffs came in a response to the White House’s announcement Monday that the U.S. would be hitting $200 billion worth of Chinese imports with 10 percent in tariffs. These tariffs will go also into effect on Sept. 24 and will increase to 25 percent on Jan. 1.

The Trump administration has also promised to add tariffs on an additional $267 billion worth of imports if an acceptable trade deal with China is not reached. If enacted, the sum of these tariffs, when added to those already on $50 billion in Chinese goods, would exceed the total amount of all Chinese imports in 2017 ($505.6 billion). Despite the tariffs, Chinese imports were up 9 percent in the first seven months of the year. If this trend continues, imports from China could reach about $551 billion in 2018.

Meanwhile, the U.S. exported only $123.9 billion in goods to China in 2017, leading to the trade deficit that Trump has said he wants to rectify. However, economists are divided on whether or not a trade deficit is actually a bad thing or simply indicative of Americans having more disposable income.

China’s Commerce Ministry said in a statement that they “deeply regret this,” but added that “China will adopt countermeasures to safeguard its legitimate rights and interests and the global free trade order.”

In a tweet Monday, Trump defended his tariffs, arguing that they “put the U.S. in a very strong bargaining position” while costs to consumers have been “almost unnoticeable.” He also threatened that if foreign nations failed to make trade deals with the U.S. that he viewed as acceptable, they would be “Tariffed!”

Many conservative lawmakers, including more than 100 members of Congress and several senators, have come out against the tariffs, which they view as being contrary to conservative free trade principles. The network of organizations funded by libertarian billionaire Charles Koch has also campaigned against the tariffs in favor of free trade.

How many tariffs are there now?

On March 1, Trump announced that the U.S. would be imposing a 25 percent tariff on all steel imports and a 10 percent tariff on all aluminum imports. China retaliated with a 178.6 percent tariff on $1 billion worth of U.S. sorghum.

The U.S. countered with tariffs on an additional $50 billion in Chinese goods, and the Chinese government countered with tariffs of its own on $50 billion in U.S. products.

This latest announcement brings the total value of U.S. goods hit by Chinese tariffs up to $110 billion, and Chinese goods hit by U.S. tariffs up to $250 billion.

Both nations have threatened additional tariffs if their trade demands are not met. In a July 20 CNBC interview, Trump declared that he was willing to put tariffs on every last import from China.

Based on the history of how China treats its dissidents, Google could soon be complicit in the state-sponsored torture and murder of people for their political and religous views.

Last week, it was reported that a senior scientist at Google, Jack Poulson did the right thing and resigned from his high-paying job over his employer’s decision to support censorship in China. “I am forced to resign in order to avoid contributing to, or profiting from, the erosion of protection for dissidents,” he said.

The senior scientist blew the whistle last month after the Intercept revealed through leaked documents that the internet behemoth planned to launch a censored version of its search engine in Chine that will blacklist websites and search terms about human rights, democracy, religion, and peaceful protest.

After unsuccessfully pleading with his bosses to stop the implementation of this censorship platform Google is creating, Poulson tendered his resignation.

He felt it was his “ethical responsibility to resign in protest of the forfeiture of our public human rights commitments,” he said.

The insidious nature of supporting such tyrannical censorship speaks for itself. However, Google apparently couldn’t care less about the implications and are reportedly moving forward with the initiative anyway.

ABC News Chief Political Analyst Matthew Dowd Alleges Clarence Thomas Is a ‘Sexual Predator’

Matthew Dowd, the chief political analyst for ABC News, smeared Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas with a “sexual predator” allegation on Monday.

Doing his part to derail Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the Supreme Court, Dowd tweeted that America already has one “sexual predator” on the Supreme Court — meaning Thomas.

“It was despicable and outrageous what happened to Anita Hill more than 25 years ago, and a sexual predator was given a lifetime seat on the SC,” Dowd wrote. “Let’s hope history doesn’t repeat itself in 2018.”

After five decades of public service, only one accuser has every come forward against Thomas, and that was Anita Hill, whose unproven allegations involved only harassment — nothing reaching the level of a sexual predator.

Nevertheless, at the time, Thomas was confirmed, primarily because most of the public did not find Hill credible after learning she followed Thomas from job to job despite the alleged harassment.

On Monday, Dowd also tweeted out how eager he is to bring back the days of witch hunts where every accuser is believed unconditionally.

“Enough with the ‘he said, she said’ storyline. If this is he said, she said, then let’s believe the she in these scenarios. Dowd howled in reference to Kavanaugh. “She has nothing to gain, and everything to lose. For 250 years we have believed the he in these scenarios. Enough is enough.”

ABC News advertises Dowd as a man of principle above party politics, but a good faith search found no record of him describing Democrat Party Deputy Chair Keith Ellison as a sexual predator, nor is there any record of Dowd calling for Ellison’s accusers to be believed. Eillison is currently running to be the attorney general of Minnesota.

What’s more, Dowd is virulently anti-Trump, anti-NRA, pro-Medicare for all (which is socialized medicine), regularly defends Planned Parenthood, and has already endorsed Democrat Beta O’Rourke, who is running to unseat Republican Sen. Ted Cruz in Texas.

Left-wing groups funded by George Soros and other major Democratic donors hand out cash to protesters arrested for disrupting Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearings, the activists revealed Monday night.

A coalition of activist organizations including Women’s March, the Center for Popular Democracy (CPD) and Housing Works have scheduled the near-constant disruptions at the Kavanaugh hearings as part of an organized effort to derail the confirmation process in a series of meetings since he was first nominated.

The cash from the donor-funded groups goes toward the protesters’ post-and-forfeit payments — a small cash sum paid to resolve low-level misdemeanor crimes and avoid jail time.

Those are just some of the details representatives from the three groups revealed in a Monday night conference call planning their next two anti-Kavanaugh protests, one on Thursday and one next Monday.

The Daily Caller News Foundation received a tip with the dial-in code for Monday’s conference call and was present on the call in its entirety. One reporter, who asked questions, revealed his name during the introductions portion of the meeting.

Protesters only need a government-issued ID and “your cash for the post-and-forfeit,” CPD national field organizer Darius Gordon said on the call.

The left-wing organizations would provide cash for the post-and-forfeits to protesters who didn’t show up with their own money, Gordon and another organizer, Housing Works national advocacy coordinator Paul Davis, both said on Monday’s call.

“If you do not have access to your cash we will certainly be able to arrange to get it to you before the action,” Davis said, noting that they had done so at previous anti-Kavanaugh protests.

Women’s March co-president Bob Bland, who also helped lead Monday’s call, praised protesters for putting “our bodies on the line again and again and again.”

Toddlers ‘tied to car seats by their necks’ at Texas daycare center

The owner of a Texas daycare center has been arrested after a hidden camera reportedly caught her tying small children to their car seats and leaving them in a dark closet for hours.

Rebecca Anderson, 60, is being accused of child endangerment for her treatment of babies and toddlers at her home daycare centre ‘Becky’s Home Child Care’ in Mesquite.

The arrest warrant affidavit alleges that Anderson kept the small children tied up for at least seven hours a day. According to police, Anderson said five kids were inside the house when they arrived on Friday, however four more were found in a dark closet with shoelace-like ropes tied around their necks.

The warrant also claims the owner yanked a six-month-old baby by the bib and drugged them with “unnecessary doses” of acetaminophen to keep them quiet. Anderson reportedly admitted to police that “she had likely given Tylenol to all of the children”.

The father of one of the children said he witnessed the abuse, and Anderson feeding his child something with a syringe, via a hidden camera he attached to his baby’s car seat after he became suspicious.

The children were taken to the Children’s Hospital in Dallas for evaluation. Anderson was booked on nine counts of child endangerment at Dallas County Jail, with bond set at $62,000.

Madeleine McCann investigator Kevin Halligen found dead

Police are investigating the death of one of the first private detectives hired by the parents of missing Madeleine McCann.

Kevin Halligen, 56, was found unwell at his girlfriend's Surrey home and later died.

Police are treating his death as "unexplained" and are expected to pass a report to a coroner.

Mr Halligen's company, Oakley International, was hired on a £500,000 contract by Kate and Gerry McCann and the administrators of the Find Madeleine Fund in 2008, a year after their daughter vanished in Portugal.

The McCanns had become frustrated with the failure of the Portuguese police to find Madeleine or any clue to what happened to her.

Mr Halligen portrayed himself as a James Bond-type figure, though a source said he was later considered "a bit of a fantasist".

The McCanns ended the investigator's contract in 2009, believing he had failed to deliver the work they were paying him for.

Dublin-born Mr Halligen, who had dual American and Irish nationality, was later extradited to the US where he admitted fraud charges over a previous contract.

He was jailed, but freed because of the time he had already served in custody and later returned to the UK.

In a TV interview he denied he had misused funds in his Madeline investigation and dismissed accusations of leading a lavish lifestyle.

Surrey Police said: "We were called to an address in Cobbett Hill Road, Normandy, Guildford, on Monday following a report of a man in his 50s having been taken unwell, who subsequently died.

"The death is being treated as unexplained and a file will be passed to the coroner's office in due course."

The McCanns did not comment, but it is understood they had had no association with him since terminating his contract.

Madeleine was nearly four when she disappeared from the family's rented holiday apartment in Praia da Luz on the Algarve coast in May 2007.
