According to Stuart Karaffa's twitter account, he is an " advocate for equitable urban policy" and on his personal website, he reveals that he is "running to be an Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner (ANC) for Single Member District 1D05 in Mount Pleasant, Washington, D.C." as of Sept 18 2018.[1]

Education/career

 

Originally from just outside of Chicago, Illinois, Stuart Karaffa moved to D.C. in 2010 immediately after graduating with a degree in International Studies from the University of Illinois.

 

Stuart Karaffa's past experience includes workforce and real estate systems planning, interning at a U.S. Senator’s office, and working as an account manager at a small internet-based communications firm. He was also a Boren Scholar in Beijing, China from 2007 to 2008.

 

In 2017 Karaffa just completed a master’s degree in Public Administration from the Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Administration at the George Washington University.[2]
