Roll Out of Cannabis Products Into Mainstream Business is Happening - Expert

Coca Cola confirmed its interest in exploring the possibilities of using a cannabis compound in some of its drinks. Looking at what affect this would have on industry and attitudes towards cannabis in UK, Sputnik spoke to Peter Reynolds, President of CLEAR Cannabis Law Reform and a member of the advisory board of the Cannabis Trades Association.

Sputnik: Coca Cola has confirmed it is interested in exploring the possibilities of using a cannabis compound in some of its drinks. How significant is this for cannabis industry?

Peter Reynolds: I think it’s very significant but it’s happening not just with Coca Cola but with every major food organization. It’s been clear that there been CBD infused drinks around, probably the first on the market was Love Hemp Water, which is now available in Sainsburys, Ocardo and Holland and Barrett. The roll out of cannabis and cannabis derived products into mainstream business and culture is happening.

Sputnik: Do you think this a good step for the industry or is it another step in the gentrification of cannabis products?

Peter Reynolds: I do think it’s a good step. I don’t think it’s about gentrification, I think it’s about the world coming to terms with the reality of cannabis and cannabis derived products. We had this experiment with the prohibition of cannabis, which start about 80 years ago, it’s been proven to be a total disaster in terms of the fact that’s its proven more harm than it’s ever prevented and we’ve also recognized more and more doctors and scientists are recognizing the removal of cannabis and cannabinoids from our diet may have had severe health impacts. Endocannabinoid System Deficiency, which was something that in the past would have been alleviated by having hemp as part of a daily diet, is on the rise and is associated with many modern conditions such auto-immune disease and allergies. You’ve got to remember that hemp used to widely grown across the British countryside and the European countryside as wheat or barley and suddenly for no good reason it was stopped all together. We’re just coming back to a place of rationality.

Sputnik: We've these developments, could we see the law and attitudes changes towards legalizing cannabis in the UK, opening Britain up to a multibillion pound industry?

Peter Reynolds: I think so, very much so. What started the prohibition in the first place was big money and big industry. Big industries being afraid of the effect of hemp on the oil market, on the timber market and on the cotton market. In all of which areas, hemp was offering a very viable and some would say a better alternative. Big organizations in particular DuPont, the chemical company, saw hemp as a threat; so that’s why it all happened in the first place and that’s why now we’re coming back to a place of rationality.

Father and youth football coach, 48, ‘filmed dozens of hours of footage showing himself raping boys'

Derek Sheehan, 48, from Massachusetts, charged with raping children, and producing and possessing child pornography

Police began looking into Sheehan in June when a child under 14 came forward accusing him of sex assault

When police searched his home and seized his electronic devices, they allegedly founds dozens of hours of video showing child rape

Sheehan's iPhone was allegedly found to contain child porn, in which so of the children appeared to be sleeping

A married father and former youth football coach from Massachusetts has been arrested for allegedly raping young boys and recording the sexual assaults on video.

Derek Sheehan, 48, of Norwell, was arrested last week and later arraigned on three counts of aggravated rape of a child, three counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 years of age, three counts of pose/exhibit in sexual act, three counts of photograph sexual or intimate parts of child and four counts of possessing child pornography.

Sheehan has been ordered held without bail pending his next court appearance on October 15.

Police began investigating Sheehan in June after a child under the age of 14 came forward accusing the man of sexual assault that allegedly took place in August 2017.

On August 17, police executed a search warrant at Sheehan's home on Spring Brook Drive in Norwell and seized the suspect’s cellphone, as well as other electronic devices.

When investigators reviewed the contents of the devices, including an external hard drive, according to a police report cited by The Patriot Ledger, they found dozens of hours of footage showing the dad and youth football coach raping several young boys.

According to police, Sheehan's iPhone also contained pornographic photos of children, some of whom appeared to be sleeping. Sheehan was arrested immediately after the search.

The next day, a father went to the police saying that his 13-year-old son had been sexually assaulted by Sheehan.

A new warrant was issued on September 12 for Sheehan, who by that time had been released on bail with a GPS ankle monitor, and he was re-arrested.

“Is Meryl Streep in the audience tonight?” Black said last year from the stage at the BOVET 1822 and Paul Haggis’s Artists for Peace and Justice inaugural “Songs from the Cinema” benefit concert.

“I just hope she wins the Oscar and talks some more shit about that asshole,” Black added

Elsewhere in his acceptance speech Tuesday, Black revealed how much he wanted a Walk of Fame Star and told the crowd that they could expect to see him reprise some of his most famous movie roles.

“I’ve wanted one of these things for so long. Since I was a kid I thought, ‘Oh man, if you get one of those stars on the sidewalk that means you’ve made it.’ And I feel like I’ve finally grasped that sweet brass ring,” Black said. “In the immortal words of Axl Rose, ‘Where do we go now?’”

Setting up the Russian Il-20 to Be Shot Down Is a Win-Win for Israel

It's technically possible the Russian Il-20 surveillance plane was downed only as a result of stupidity and incompetence on the Israeli and Syrian side, and without a devious Israeli plan to set it up. Militaries almost always are among the stupidest and incompetent of all government bureaucracies so it's in the realm of possibility.

Nonetheless, the fact that Israel this time failed to give adequate warning to Russia is a strong indicator the IDF at the very least wanted to use the Russian plane there to cover their fighters, which it must have known would put it at a certain amount of risk.
