Anon… I have the exact same attitude. The ONLY thing I will bother with a dr for is for actual things that they can actually fix. Like you said broke a bone or cut your foot off. Good example with me. I have had a recurring problem with upper left chest pain. Nothing, umm, serious, but an "aggravation". I've finally connected it to bowel movements and their regularity, and particularly how much exercise I'm getting and what my diet is. I have absolutely no faith in a dr to figure that out because it's an incredibly complex issue and a dr wouldn't sit and listen to me explain what's going on for 30 minutes without making an "ASS ume" out of himself. I eliminated the problem for several weeks, and it came back, as I was getting lazy again, so I have to get back on my regime.

Yep… have done this on multiple occasions. The big clue to when you've taken too much is that you're having diarrhea. There's a lot of times when I feel like I could be coming down with something and I'll take 4-5,000 MG of Vitamin C.

There's SO much out there that's it's impossible to know it all. One simple thing is cilantro is GREAT for detoxification. Also check into borax. It's good for a few things too. Cilantro is extremely prolific and easy to grow in the spring and the fall (cooler weather) for me.
I have the book Prescriptions for Natural Healing on my shelf, have rarely used it but it's a good reference to have. Also Nutritional Influences on Illness. I actually looked up a natural health course somewhere and I happened to come across the book list. It would have cost $600 for the course and it only cost me $50 or so for all the books. (They provided the books)

I thank God I graduated high school in 2002 and I didn't learn any of the bull shit they're teaching these days. Even then… I didn't attend half the classes in middle school because my good Christian mother wouldn't allow me to. Sex ed, anything that smelled like satanism, anything manipulative, etc. She was very strict about what classes I was allowed to take. And it was a good thing.

It was and has been BULLSHIT. I don't give a flying fuck about trig or geometry, I'm a handyman and I can look at something and know how the hell to build it. It's something you're born with.. the natural curiosity and the ability, along with the availability of materials to learn how to do shit. I hate directed crap… sure, mentos in a diet coke bottle makes a rocket but I don't' need to do with thirty people in a class for "science" and it has absolutely no relevance in adult life.
You'd get further giving kids a pile of wood, a hammer, and a few nails and telling them to build a treehouse than wasting their time in school for 8 hours a day.
Then when they get done with that treehouse they can build another one. When they screw that one up they can build another one. Pretty soon you've got a group of kids who can build an actual house quite well.
