In Karakachanov's view, Hungary's policy affects the sovereign right of each country to change its legislation and conduct a policy. "If this does not appeal to another parliamentary group in the European Parliament, this is their problem and not a problem of the sovereign state," Karakachanov said. He added that he disagreed with attempts to minimize the sovereignty of member states and that sovereignty would be taken by other institutions.
