Authorities discovered a fully equipped hospital and large quantities of Western and Israeli medicines left behind by terrorists in the village of Breqa in the southern countryside of Quneitra. The hospital includes medical devices and equipment and medicines from Israel, US and France.

Al-Jaafari: The West plotted for the war on Syria in service of the Israeli interests

Syrian War Report – September 19, 2018: Militants Reject Demilitarization Zone Agreement In Idlib

On September 18, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda), the Islamic Turkistan Party, Jaish al-Izza and Hourras Addin refused to respect the agreement and to withdraw its forces and military equipment from the contact line.

On the same day, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu stated that work to establish a new security system in the Idlib de-escalation zone had started. He recalled that all heavy weapons have to be withdrawn from the demilitarized zone by October 10 and radical groups have to withdraw their forces by October 15.

America 'One Of 45 Countries' Infected By Uber-Powerful Israeli Smartphone Spyware

Some of the world’s most sophisticated Android and iPhone spyware has been found floating around America for the first time. It's one of as many as 45 countries in which NSO Group malware was uncovered. And together they may represent breaches of American and other nations' computer crime laws against cross-border hacking, not to mention a severe concern for citizens’ privacy, according to the researchers who uncovered the professional spy software.

The malware of concern, dubbed Pegasus, is the creation of NSO Group, an Israeli company valued at close to $1 billion. It can hide on Apple or Google devices, spying via the camera, listening in on conversations through the microphone, stealing documents and siphoning off once-private messages, amongst other surreptitious activities.

NSO has always protested that its tools are designed to be used to track the most heinous criminals, from terrorists to drug cartels. But the company has been caught up in spying scandals in Mexico and the United Arab Emirates. In both cases, civil rights organizations were up in arms that the iPhone malware had targeted activists, journalists and lawyers, among others who appeared entirely innocent of any crimes. Just last month, Forbes reported that an Amnesty researcher focusing on issues in the UAE had been targeted by NSO spyware. And most recently, leaked emails included in lawsuits in Israel and Cyprus against NSO Group appeared to show the company had hacked the phone of a journalist working at an Arab newspaper.

Tesla DOJ Probe Getting Wider, May Piggyback On SEC Subpoenas

As we reported yesterday, the Department of Justice is looking into Tesla for wrongdoing as part of a "criminal probe". The investigation was reportedly spurred by Elon Musk's early August tweet in which he stated that he had "funding secured" for a bid to take Tesla private at $420 per share. But now it’s being reported that the Department of Justice inquiry into the company may wind up heading in other directions, possibly opening up a "Pandora's box", if they are given enough new strings to pull on as a result of their initial look into the company.

As Bloomberg notes, DOJ investigations in their early stages often end up in different places than they start. Sometimes they can wind up uncovering additional wrongdoing than they set out after, other times they can lead to easier outcomes, like fines and settlements. According to Paul Pelletier, a former Justice Department prosecutor, the roadmap for this investigation of Tesla remains to be seen.

Israeli military delegation led by air force commander to travel to Moscow to share information on Il-20 plane crash.

The Israeli military delegation led by Air Force Commander Maj. Gen. Amikam Norkin will travel to Moscow on September 20 with information about the crash of a Russian Il-20 reconnaissance aircraft off the Syrian coast that killed 15 military personnel, the IDF press service said Wednesday.

"The Air Force Commander and accompanying officials will present a picture of what happened in all its aspects, including… the main conclusions of the investigation conducted by the Israeli Defense Forces," the press service said in a statement.

The Russian Hmeymim airbase had lost contact with the Russian Il-20 military aircraft late on Monday during the attack of four Israeli F-16 aircraft on Syrian targets in the province of Latakia. The Russian Defense Ministry said on Tuesday that the Israeli military deliberately created a dangerous situation by using the Russian aircraft as a shield against Syrian air defense systems.

Nolte: Kavanaugh Accuser’s Classmate Deletes Claim that Everyone Knew of Alleged Misconduct

Cristina King Miranda, who says she is a former classmate of Brett Kavanaugh accuser Christine Blasey Ford, has deleted her claim that everyone knew of the alleged misconduct.

Ford is accusing Supreme Court nominee Kavanaugh of groping her at a house party 36 years ago when they were both teenagers in high school. After Ford came forward, she told the far-left Washington Post that Ford “told no one at the time what happened to her.”

Nevertheless, on Tuesday, Miranda tweeted that she knew both Kavanaugh and Ford and that “the incident was spoken of for days afterwards in school.”

If true, this would be a big deal. As of now, Ford says she did not tell anyone about the allegation until 2012, which means there are no contemporaneous witnesses who can come forward to claim Ford told them about this at the time.

Furthermore, even in 2012, Ford did not tell her therapist the name of the man who allegedly assaulted her. She only spoke of the incident and a classmate who is now a big deal in Washington, DC. Basically, Ford did not accuse Kavanaugh by name until he was nominated to the Supreme Court.

After it was pointed out to Miranda that her claim about the incident being “spoken of for days afterwards” directly contradicted a statement from the alleged victim, Miranda deleted her claim.

“Hi all, deleted this because it served its purpose and I am now dealing with a slew of requests for interviews from The Wash Post, CNN, CBS News,” she tweeted. “Organizing how I want to proceed. Was not ready for that, not sure I am interested in pursuing. Thanks for reading.”

The key words there are “not sure I am interested in pursuing.”

Stakes Rise in Browder-Gate – EU Threatens Cyprus with Article 7

It’s been quite a week for Article 7 of the Lisbon Treaty. First Hungary and now Cyprus. And all because of some guy named Bill Browder?

Despite numerous warnings and obstacles, Cyprus continues to assist Russia in investigating the finances of Bill Browder. This has resulted in letters of warning to Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades as well as lawsuits by Browder citing the investigation violates his human rights.

Like everything else in this world, just ask Browder.

Last fall Browder and 17 MEP’s launched a two-pronged assault on Cyprus to end their assisting Russia’s investigation into Browder. Browder with the lawsuit. The MEP’s with a letter of warning.

The lawsuit has failed, however. The Nicosia District Court handed down a ruling recently which allowed for Browder to sue for damages to his reputation but not putting an injunction on the investigation.

More than a month ago the Nicosia District Court said that the cooperation with Russia in its politically motivated probe would violate the human rights of Bill Browder and his associate Ivan Cherkasov and the two would have good prospects in claiming damages from the government. Still, the court rejected Browder’s application for an order preventing Cypriot authorities from cooperating with Russia in its proceedings against him on the grounds that any damage would not be irreparable.

And this is where this gets interesting.

Because now in light of this ruling the stakes have been raised. Four of those original 17 MEP’s, many of whom are on the infamous “Soros List” as being in the pay of Open Society Foundation, sent a more serious letter of warning to Anastasaides threatening Cyprus with censure via Article 7 of the Lisbon Treaty for not upholding the European Union’s standards on human rights.

Now this is a dangerous escalation in service of an investigation into someone who, agree or not, Russia has a legitimate interest in pursuing. Dismissing all of Russia’s concerns about Browder as ‘politically motivated’ is pure grandstanding. It carries no weight of law and stinks of a far deeper and more serious corruption.

Because if Browder was as pure as the driven snow as he presents himself to the world then he would have no issue whatsoever in Cyprus opening up his books to Russia and put his question of guilt to rest once and for all.

The ruling from the court stated that Cypriot officials are not barred from helping Russia get to the bottom of Browder’s web of offshore accounts, all of which, according to Russian lawyer Natalya Veselnitskaya, run through Cyprus.

More Data that Good People With Guns Save Lives

U.S.A. -(Ammoland.com)- You might never need to defend yourself. That depends on both luck and skill. According to FBI statistics, someone in your family will be the victim of violent crime over your lifetime. Fortunately, you can defend yourself with more than good luck, but only if you are prepared. Self-defense happens. About 6 thousand honest gun owners defend themselves every day. Vice magazine said they couldn’t find those examples of armed self-defense, so we’ll do it for them. The truth is easy to find once you look.

Criminology Professor Gary Kleck performed one of the first large scale general surveys asking if we used a gun for self-defense. Kleck interviewed approximately 4500 US citizens about their experience during 1993. The professor concluded there were approximately 2.5 million cases of civilian defensive gun use. That averages to about 6800 incidents each day. That data is out there, but Vice magazine couldn’t find it.

During the Obama Administration, the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention performed a literature search and found estimates from half a million (0.5) to over 3 million defensive gun uses each year depending on the study. Lots of data is available unless you refuse to see it.

It turns out that the CDC was sitting on more data. Some 5000 survey contacts were made starting in 1994 during the Clinton administration. The CDC data from the 1990s was never published. Fortunately, the data was recovered in 2018. When extrapolated across the US, the new CDC data implied 3 million instances of defensive gun use. When you are making up your own facts, then you’ll ignore the government’s own data on self-defense.

That old data would extrapolate to over 10 thousand defensive events a day when corrected for the larger US population in 2018. Fortunately, the rates of robbery and aggravated assault have gone down since the 1990s. That is great news.

Criminologists focus on the numbers. I focus on the experience of individual victims as they defended themselves. I produce Self-Defense Gun Stories where we’ve discussed hundreds of honest citizens using a firearm. As you would expect, criminals look for victims everywhere, and criminals will attack anyone. Good guys and gals with guns make a difference.

Knife-wielding teen threatens woman, demands sex. Then man with concealed carry license steps in.

A Florida Walmart customer told police she figured the approaching teenage boy simply wanted to help her with groceries, WJXT-TV reported.

Not even close.

Instead the 14-year-old said, “I want you to have sex with me. I’ve got a knife in my pocket,” according to the woman’s Facebook post about the Sept. 11 incident, the station said.

Another customer comes to the rescue

But the woman — who indicated in her Facebook post that her husband and 3-year-old child were waiting for her in their car — saw a man walking by the aisle in the Fleming Island store. So she cried out to him for help, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office told WJXT.

He responded to the call and drew his gun, sheriff deputies added to the station.

‘Are you serious? Did you say that?’

The man, requesting anonymity, told WJXT the woman said the teen threatened to stab her if she didn’t comply with his demand.

“I immediately looked at [the teen] and said, ‘Are you serious? Did you say that?'” the man recalled to the station. “The scariest part was he responded with a nod or a yes, and it wasn’t a questionable nod.”

Deputies added to WJXT that the victim and her rescuer — who had a concealed carry license — both did the right thing.

“She did exactly what she needed to do as for as making contact with someone and getting them involved, to at least bring attention to herself and what was going on,” Sgt. Keith Smith told the station.

The woman added in her Facebook post, “I am convinced that I would’ve been stabbed had it not been for the divine timing of another customer walking by who just happened to have a concealed carry license.”

What happened to the suspect?

WJXT didn’t identify the teen due to his age but said he was arrested and would receive a mental evaluation before taking a trip to juvenile detention.
