Are we already space-faring such that there are humans living on planets outside of Sol system? Just how advanced are we technologically?

Its fine if we earthlings get left behind, I'm glad our eggs are no longer all in one basket. That said, if there are off-world jobs, I'd certainly like to know where to apply. (EG&G?)
