As an IT fag (database admin) I totally agree. I hate the requests for help because they are stuck, but won't listen and/or keep saying what the problem is. If they know what the problem is then why are you asking for help?

Ahhhh, the social media popularity contest. Followers are not researchers. Tonight was a shitstorm. Most likely a pre-calculated one. We've had Q&A's before where good meaningful questions were answered. The questions responded too were more than a half bubble off.

We did learn about some bandwidth limitations, the new human limitations, and to the extent of how many people are lurking about once word gets out.

I'm no shrinkanon, but I have to believe this constant emotional ride they are on has to mess with them. It's abusive. They go from one outrage to the next. This has to be pumping some chemicals in their brains. They never stop on one long enough to reflect on it either.

Kewl fren. I was thinking about the social media piece on my walk this morning. Know of any research into this.

The media is a big obstacle with getting people informed. Social Media included. How to stop it? I dunno. Maybe hitting their self proclaimed intelligence with memes about how bad it is for them? Doesn't take much to get them to change their diet or kick straws out of California. I think the apparent source of the information is what may work.

Deeper words than you may realize. It's not just that they can't be work. It's that their identity depends on it.

Anons, be humble, be open, take care of yourself, care for those close to you, and the rest of the world falls into place.

This topic is one of the few that has triggered me a little. In a good thought provoking way. I agree with what is being said. I've over posted in this bread and it is a little off topic. Just want to say I am glad I am not the only one who thinks this way.
