Keep in mind Sessions can't defy the order from the President cause he has recused himself from all matters involving the Russian investigation, so they are setting up RR to defy the order, so Trump can then fire him and Sessions then can unrecuse himself. That is why they are waiting until Kavanaugh is confirmed. The Dems did delay the inevitable by a week, but I believe that the Oct 1 is still going to happen.
