From what I could get out of them they are deeply concerned that their self identities will be questioned if Dems aren't golden savers of the galaxy.
It might be necessary to find a gentler way to bring them to the truth.
"Haha you're wrong" is probably not going to be good for friendships.
Two things I tried today are "Maybe you've not really been given the facts," and "It could really be all about good versus evil and not political parties."
They are 100% convinced that Trump is the devil, and they've rarely offered an opinion before.
Maybe we aren't paying enough attention to the Dem echo chamber? WTF have they been hyping?
